Vic Fangio says Broncos could use help at all three levels

Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio shared his thoughts on the team at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday.

Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio met with the media at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday. He covered a wide variety of topics related to the Broncos offseason strategy.

Fangio revealed that Emmanuel Sanders and Derek Wolfe would be back with roles on the team, but they expect to let Bradley Roby go ahead and test free agency. He also noted that tackling is a non-negotiable aspect for his defensive unit in Denver. The focus on fundamentals will be a huge deal in training camp.

When it came to the 2019 NFL Draft, Fangio said, “We could use help at all three levels, which is both good and bad. It’s good that it leaves you open in the draft, not tied to one position. And it’s not as good, because you’ve got needs at all three levels. But I think we can shore up those needs rather quickly and hopefully get it going back in the right direction.”

With the Broncos reportedly trading for quarterback Joe Flacco at the beginning of the league year, they should be wide open with the 10th overall pick to get the best player available at any position of need.
